There is so Much Versatility to Dental Veneers
Discover all the many aesthetic dental problems that can be improved with porcelain veneers.
Are you tired of having chips in your teeth caused by an old sports injury? Do you think the small gap between the front of your teeth used to be stylish but is now unsightly? If so, there may be a simple cosmetic solution. Our Lexington, KY dentists, Dr. Anthony Feck and Dr. Maxie Combs, are here to introduce dental veneers.
Dental veneers are designed to look just like natural teeth. In fact, these thin porcelain shells are even translucent, so they mimic the same shine and appearance of real teeth. This means that even when you have your veneers people around you won’t even know that your straighter, more beautiful smile isn’t all natural.
Veneers are a great way to combat a variety of dental issues including:
- Oddly shaped teeth
- Severely discolored teeth
- Teeth that are uneven or small
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Misaligned teeth
- Small spaces between teeth
By adhering the veneers to the front of your smile, we can hide so many imperfections so that you can finally get the smile you’ve always wanted. Always hated that your two front teeth overlap a bit? Feel embarrassed by dental stains caused by certain medications you have to take? Then it’s time you treated your smile to dental veneers in Lexington so that you can finally get your smile back. Don’t you deserve it?
In order to get veneers we need to examine your smile to make sure that your smile is right for what veneers can offer. We will discuss your goals in depth so that we get you the cosmetic dentistry that will give you the smile that you’ve dreamed of.
Once we’ve deemed you a candidate for veneers we will need to prepare your teeth. Unlike the intense preparation process that is involved in getting dental crowns, tooth preparation is fairly simple with veneers. Only a very small amount of enamel must be removed from the front of your teeth. This ensures that the veneers don’t look bulky when they are applied to your teeth.
Once enough enamel has been removed we will take impressions of your teeth. In order for a lab to create your very own custom veneers they will need to use these impressions to make veneers that fit you just right. Once your veneers are made we will temporarily apply them to check the fit and the look. Then we will permanently apply them with dental resin, which we will need to harden with a special light. From there, your new gorgeous smile is now good to go!
